Rev. Donny Friederichsen
Pastor Donny Friederichsen is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando (MDiv, ’11) and of The University of Tennessee (B.A., ’99). He and his wife, Kim, have four children. Pastor Donny grew up in Chattanooga, TN and is an irrationally optimistic Tennessee Volunteers fan. He pastored for 9 years in Northern New Jersey and the Bahamas. He and Kim spent several years on staff with Cru in Belarus, Kentucky, and Florida. He has written for Ligonier’s Tabletalk, the Gospel Reformation Network, and Reformation 21.
Rev. James Jessup
Pastor Jessup came to Lakeside in November of 2016 after serving in North Carolina in a PCA church for 9 years. Before being called to ministry, he used his undergraduate business skills for 8 years in the textile and plastics industries. He has an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He and his wife Christy have been married for 24 years and have 3 children.
Director of Youth Ministries
After nearly two decades in the wilderness known as "not Texas", Ben and his family moved from central Pennsylvania back to Texas in 2018 so he could take an engineering job at Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie. Born and raised in Little Rock, AR, Ben is a graduate of Baylor (2000) and University of Washington (2004). A rugged indoors man, Ben enjoys reading, gaming, cooking & grilling, and having long nerdy conversations about theology. He has been married to Yoanna since 2003 and they have two kids. They live in Flower Mound.
Dr. Hunt Whitehead
Director of Music Ministries
Dr. Whitehead is a life-long musician. He started playing the piano by ear at age four. He was a two-time Texas All-State Choir member and has used his musical talents at every church he has had along the way. Whether directing choirs, leading worship, accompanying or composing, music has been the steadying force in his life. He owns Whitehead Chiropractic in Keller.
Children's Ministry Coordinator
Rebekah is a middle school teacher who also leads our Vacation Bible School each summer. She spent 10 years with Kids Across America and Summer's Best Two Weeks: Citikids. These camps are Christian Sports Camps for urban youth. She also has been worked with our covenant children at Lakeside including directing our yearly children's program. She loves her work with children and youth and cannot imagine doing anything else.
Margaret became the organist at Lakeside in 2008. She had played the organ at her church in Alpine when she was a teenager. She feels blessed to serve the Lord again through music after 40 years of what she calls her "musical desert" Margaret has been married for 50 years to Tim. They have three grown children and three amazing grandsons.
